Error on the French national day
At France’s national day parade, the aircraft drawing the flag left a red in the blue stripe. What the French flag should look like.

During the celebration of France’s national day, 9 military aircraft simulated the tricolour flag in the sky over Paris, during the parade on the Champs-Élysées. The mistake was easy to see: the colour red slipped into the blue stripe.

Red, where the blue should be.
How it should have been
The flag of France is a vertical tricolour of blue, white and red, with the blue next to the pole. The current order was set on 15 February 1794 (the Constituent Assembly approved the first red-white-blue tricolour on 24 October 1790). The 1958 Constitution says, in Article 2, that the national emblem is “the tricolour flag, blue, white, red”. No law fixes the exact shades. Blue and red are the traditional colours of Paris, and white was added later.

France: vertical stripes, with the blue next to the pole.
1790
On 24 October, the Constituent Assembly approves the first tricolour, red-white-blue.
